Month: August 2015

I’m currently sitting in the cafeteria at work. There’s been a city wide power failure. We have no computer or phones available for use. My immediate reaction was to head to the microwave to warm up my oatmeal. Oops.

It makes me realize how much this era in human history relies on electricity. I’m not so sure that’s a good thing. That which makes powers the conveniences of our daily lives can really cripple us when taken away.

That’s all. Carry on.

New York

Gay, Greg, Sara and I spent this past weekend in New York City. Here are just a sample of some of the things we saw/experienced…

  • Yankee Stadium
  • Citi Field
  • Grand Central Station
  • Time Square
  • Off Broadway Show (Avenue Q)
  • Brooklyn Bridge
  • Charging Bull
  • Statue of Liberty
  • Ellis Island
  • 9/11 Memorial
  • Federal Hall
  • Empire State Building
  • Harlem
  • Manhattan Bridge
  • Central Park
  • Chinatown
  • Little Italy
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • Guggenheim
  • Rockefeller Plaza
  • Radio City
  • Fifth Avenue
  • United Nations
  • Soho
  • all kinds of stuff I’m forgetting.

The ladies kept saying that pictures don’t do it justice. Truer words were never spoken. It was a fun weekend full of sightseeing and learning, but the best part was getting to spend it with good friends. Thanks Greg and Sara. By the way, guys, we’re already planning for next summer!
